We build software that stays on your PC.
Ghost Media Works is a small, independent software maker. We make apps for Windows that do their work on your own computer. Our first, Ghost Writer, turns your voice into text on your PC, so what you say stays with you.
How we work
Local first
If a job can run on your PC, it runs on your PC. Our apps go online only for what they say they do, such as checking for updates.
No ads, no analytics
We don't sell data or show ads, and Ghost Writer has no analytics: the only thing we learn is from the key check, such as how many PCs used it each day. This website sets no cookies of its own and loads nothing from other sites.
Honest about the rough edges
Beta means beta. We list what's new and what's known to be wrong, and we explain warnings before you meet them.
Built with the people who use it
Ghost Writer is free by invitation while it grows, and shaped by the feedback of the people using it.
